The amount of work required to find jobs and submit applications is absurd. There is a complete absence of jobs that ask for anything less than 2 years of work experience in the entry level category. Even if you are fortunate enough to land an interview, you have to smile and claw your way through several rounds of interviews. That's if you're lucky enough to get that far. Only one person can land the coveted position, the rest have to go back to the daily tedium of job applications.
We live in a hyper-connected society because of the astounding level of innovation in the past decade. Yet we don’t sit in awe staring at our smartphones as billions of tiny miracles are performed in matters of seconds. This is what we are accustomed to and without it we feel crippled.
Despite our current level of advancement, I feel like a teenage girl without her smartphone whenever I sit down to submit job applications. George Castanza would yell out, “You know we’re living in a society,” only to fall on deaf ears.
There is a better way to connect eager young professionals with jobs. It does not have to be about who you know rather than who you are.
With the proper tools at our disposal, anything is possible.
